Hokay! So it's Christmas today. I have to admit though, that I overstretched myself the past few days so I was damm shagged today. After having a very hearty breakfast in Bedok, I admit i bummed my afternoon away. Until 5 that is. However, if i count the events in the past few days as Christmas related.. It's a very different story.

Haha yet again, December proves to be the month of meet-ups. I seriously think that Decembers are imperative to people all around the world because it is the time of the year MOST,not all people get to take a long well-deserved breather in their hectic bustling lives and start to rediscover their social circles. Strained friendships are mended and everybody heaves a huge sigh of relief. Even closer bonds are forged between previosly close friends. It's like the People's Month, uniformly cherished, uniformly enjoyed.

Because it is such a significant period of the year, most individuals use this time to re-embrace the warmth of a very important institute in their lives too. Their Family. Often very understated and overlooked, the bedrock of growing up gets it's own chance to re-lay the foundation in an individual's soul. The one base that one can always look to fall back on, Dec really offers an outlet for one to devote some attention and time back.

Not only that, I think most importantly, December offers the individual a chance to review the past year and really sit down and sort one's thoughts out. It allows the individual an opportunity to reorganise his beliefs and priorities, recap endeavors done and reset resolutions for the coming year, for the future.

The scattered holidays are just an added bonus. Providing yet even more reasons and excuses to meet up, go overseas or just relax and while one's time away.

All in all, Decembers are absolutely crucial. It is the month of snow, it is the month of giving, it is the month of meet-ups, it is the People's month. It is, quite simply, the birthday of the world.
