Irony of ironies! Just when I talked about the need to integrate foreign people into our society, I was posted to a predominantly angmoh populated area for my first CNY promoting assignment. Tanglin Market Place. Like.. Never hear before leh.. Anyway, I noticed the difference between their shopping mentality and ours. When they want to buy something, they will buy it, whether or not there is or no promotion. When they don't want to, even if you give them freebies or throw them a Frisbee (ok not funny), they will not take the bait. Bad for me, if you consider the fact I have golden oxes (which the angmohs termed 'fake yellow cow toys') and playing cards in oriental packaging (the cigarette counter within 5 steps from me sells prominently displayed Aladdin Card).

Okay anw i just caught the re-telecast of Vivo's new year countdown. It's definitely so much better than the Marina Bay's one. Maybe it's the yellow-skinned Chinese within me, but i feel much more interested in looking at Felicia Chin and Ou Xuan than Gurmit and Utt. (Ok.. I admit 95% is also because i am male) Anyway, it was damm freaking obvious the singers were mostly lip syncing. UNLESS you are telling me Christopher Lee can continue holding a pitch perfect note while taking a deep breath. (Try that in front of your computer screen now. Don't worry, nobody's looking at you being silly.) Hahaha celebs celebs. As capable as they are in the art of acting and public self-selling, they are not perfect. Yes yes.. I hear those 'Nobody's perfect' choruses ringing out again.
