Okay, 'it's only the beginning of the year!''s no longer a valid excuse from now on so please stop using it.
Well, i've started on my virgin 'proper' job. It has been quite rewarding actually. It's nice actually googling for something that's imperative instead of random drifting and becoming entangled on the www everytime you double click that firefox or ie icon.
While my immediate taskings have been far from demanding (it's mentally retardating me.), it's nice to at least feel like part of the morning and evening crowd once again. I have been doing course stuff (which of course is a tiny fraction of what my army job entailed HAHA) so its nothing new.
HOWEVER, and it's a big one, the senior manager said that she wants to teach me how to calculate EPD or smth soon. sounds like it's going to be more than what i've bargained for!
You know how sometimes when you are still young, you doubt the usefulness of stuff like paperweights and paperclips. Well, growing up makes you eat your words. Paperclips are so important to me now that without them, I'm like Popeye without his spinach! (which reminds me, i have a craving for Popeye, please eat with me soon people!) And paperweights, even with a slight tremor measuring 0.2 on the Richter Scale can send stacks of paper spiralling in the end. The sitation gets more dire when you realise that you have been arranging the stacks in chronological THEN alphabetical order for more than an hour.
And while lunch breaks aren't quite as 'ding dong dong dong' recesses used to be, I think it's still a welcome break from the 'stimulating' work at the office. Hahaha and the variety of food's actually damm good over at NIE. I mean, if you have a SakaeSushi, Canadian Pizza, Old Chang Kee, Macdonalds, Subway and numerous foodcourts all within a 5 to 10 min walk from your workplace, it has to rank as number one foodie paradise!
Okay, just a sidetrack. I have this wanting to sing K. I wouldn't say that i love hearing myself sing. It's more about the sharing of emotions and good-natured fun with friends that's so enticing. Shit man. I crave quietly sipping on my honey green tea while taking in the ambience of it all. And of course, the nut poppings are quite DA BOMB.
Sidetrack from a sidetrack, last night, I received a message from an extraordinary person. Thought it's content was simple, it nonetheless made my night. Thank you!
