I think when you don't work to maintain a level you have strived so much for, it says alot. And it's even worse when you have been hit with a blatant dig.

Freaking awesome stuff. Plucked it from a friend's facebook profile. In the case of it being taken down already, just search for "Susan Boyle" in youtube. The reaction of the judges, the audience before Susan Boyle even started singing was that of extreme cynicism. And sadly, that's also a perfect depiction of the world now.
We judge alot based on visual impression. We see a fatty bom bom and we think he cannot jump more than 100cm, not to mention pass his SBJ. We see an ah pek in singlets and khaki shorts and we assume he spends his nights drinking with his pals at coffee shops. We see a family having a picnic and we think they are a perfect happy family.
There's a need to stamp out such pre-established impressions because it screws the world. I hate hate hate being maligned. I hate hate hate being accused of doing something I never did. I hate hate hate being hated.
Susan was doubted, she didn't bat an eyelid, even pranced around stage with youthful exuberance and then delivered an absolute belter of a song.
It made my night when she opened her performance with a heart-shattering rendition phrase. The immediate applause from the audience. The stunned look on all the skeptics. The bewildered audiences. The standing ovations all around. The goosebumps that arose when she absolutely nailed note after note. That's perfect TV. And I hope that's a perfect lesson to everybody too.
I dreamed a dream. A dream that saw the world look at the world with their heart.
Thank you Susan.
I'll continue to do what I think is right even if I face painfully wrong accusations.
